Abstract

Based on a demand from teachers of students with dyslexia at a Private University of the City of Buenos Aires, a study is designed to investigate the population with learning difficulties included in higher level classes. The research seeks to define the support
configurations, adaptations or pertinent adaptations to provide teachers with tools in order to address the curricular contents with students who present Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD). The identification of students with AED in the classroom is carried
out through a survey via google forms, sent by mail to teachers from different universities and uploaded to social networks. The questionnaire was answered by 45 higher education students between the ages of 18 and 65, with a population standard deviation of 11.25, 80%
of them female and from all over the country. Then the Prodislex protocol was implemented to reinforce the data analysis. Prodislex is a protocol for early detection and action in dyslexia that allows providing strategies to achieve success for this type of student body.
The study has shown that some students are unaware of their diagnosis despite suspecting it, that teachers lack specific training to serve this population academically, and that many students, despite not presenting SpLD characteristics, do have reading comprehension
difficulties
